Many Boro Park residents will recognize this photo from an iconic corner in Boro Park where a newsstand has stood for many decades—back when newspapers were practically the exclusive news sources for Boro Park residents. The ancient sign on the newsstand read “tzeitungen” in Yiddish. It has since been replaced by a more modern establishment.

The Beis Medrash of the Skverer Admorim has served the chassidus for more than 100 years at this very location of 1334 47th Street, and it looks pretty much the same now as it did then under the leadership of the third generation of Skverer Admorim in Boro Park.
