Captured Moment: The Yeshiva on Ocean Parkway

Captured Moment: The Yeshiva on Ocean Parkway

YS GOLD

The building we see here was erected on Ocean Parkway as a shul in the 1930’s. It has stood there serving the community as a place of prayer and congregation. In recent years, it has also had the added distinction of serving as the home to an esteemed yeshiva for the Boro Park community.

Can our readers pinpoint the location?

Answer to last week’s captured moment:

Congregation Beth El has stood at the corner of 12th Avenue and 41st Street from the year 1907 until 1922 when it became Anshei Lubavitch.

It has recently fallen into disrepair and demolished for development, which will include a new shul.
