By Y.M. Lowy
Overnight closures of the New Jersey-bound tube of the Holland Tunnel will officially end after this weekend, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. These closures had been happening Sunday through Friday nights for major repairs.
Closures began Sunday night, June 29, as the Port Authority launched a new schedule of overnight single-lane closures for routine maintenance, affecting both directions of traffic.
• In the New York-bound tube, one lane will close from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
• In the New Jersey-bound tube, one lane will close from 11:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
These single lane closures will take place Sunday through Thursday nights.
