City Brings New Businesses Into BAT and MADE Bush Terminal
By Y.M. Lowy
The city has
announced new tenants moving into major industrial spaces at the Brooklyn Army
Terminal and MADE Bush Terminal in Sunset Park, adding more businesses, jobs,
and activity to the waterfront area.
About 66,000 square
feet of space is being activated as several companies take over previously
unused or open areas inside the large city-owned buildings.
The new tenants
include businesses involved in manufacturing, design work, clean technology, 3D
printing, package delivery systems, and media equipment rental. These types of
companies help support local jobs and keep industrial work in New York City.
The Brooklyn Army
Terminal and MADE Bush Terminal are long-standing industrial sites along the
waterfront that the city has been working to modernize and fill with new
business activity.
More planning and
development is expected in the future as additional space becomes available in
the two complexes.
