Partial service on the D train, along with several other subway and bus lines, was disrupted this morning following a shooting on the Upper West Side.
The incident occurred around 9:15 a.m. near West 68th Street and Columbus Avenue, where a 47-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and leg by an unknown assailant.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in stable condition, while the suspect fled into the subway at 72nd Street and Central Park West.
As a result, the D train, along with the A, B, and C lines, experienced delays and reroutes. Additionally, southbound M7 and M11 buses were affected. The NYPD is continuing its investigation, and commuters are urged to expect further delays.
