Dan Goldman Kicked Off Primary Day by Greeting Boro Parkers on 13th Avenue Last Night

Daniel Goldman, who is running to represent NY’s District 10 in the US House of Representatives visited 13th Avenue last night to greet passersby and mispallim as they walked out of maariv at Shomer Shabbos shul.
“Daniel came down to Boro Park last night, on election eve, to meet the voters and show them how important they are to him,” said Ushi Teitlebaum, who joined Assemblymember Simcha Eichenstein, activists Chesky Blau, Ben Barber, and Rabbi Berish Freilach, in showing their support for Goldman.
Goldman schmoozed with Boro Parkers from 9:30 to 10:30 pm last night to discuss his views as a moderate Democrat who is running against several far-left progressives, Teitlebaum told BoroPark24.
“Daniel wants to shape up the district, and people received him very positively,” Teitlebaum said about the Jewish candidate. “People seem to like him."
“I have gotten to know Dan very well over the last couple of months,” said Assemblymember Simcha Eichenstein, who said, “he could feel the excitement on the streets of Boro Park,” as Goldman greeted voters. “We have spent countless hours discussing the issues that are facing the residents of our community.
“Goldman respects our community. He appreciates the diversity of New York City, and that diversity includes our community.”
Because the state is holding today’s primary at the end of August, when many New Yorkers are away for the summer, voter turnout is likely to be low, Eichenstein warned.
“Your vote matters,” Assemblyman Eichenstein urged. “Every vote counts. You can have an impact.
“Please come out and vote for Dan Goldman for Congress. Take the five minutes.”
Most people, however, greeted Goldman very positively.
Goldman expressed that he understands the Jewish values of the community better than the other candidates.
In particular, Goldman supports Israel, unlike his running mate Assemblymember Yuh-Line Niou, and he supports yeshivas, where his five children attend school.
“People were very receptive to Goldman,” said Rabbi Freilach. “They think Goldman is the right candidate: compared to the others, who definitely do not support our beliefs, but he does. I think he’ll be a great congressman. We all think so.”
“I voted for you,” said many passersby. “You will win. You have endorsements from all of our mosdos.”
Voters can determine their polling places at https://voterlookup.elections.ny.gov/, and polls are open until 9 pm tonight.
