DDC Construction Project At Fort Hamilton Parkway and McDonald Avenue
By Idy Perl
Boro Park residents and visitors entering through the Fort Hamilton Parkway and McDonald Avenue intersection have recently been met with chaos and lane closures due to ongoing construction.
BoroPark24 reached out the DOT and DDC who shared the following information:
The current construction is for a $15.8 million dollar project of the NYC DOT and DEP that is being handled by the Department of Design and Construction. They are currently upgrading sewers and water mains, installing curb extensions, reconstructing medians, and implementing general street upgrades such as improving the streetscape, lighting, roadwork, and more.
The latest updates from the DDC show that further construction is scheduled for this Friday, and the DDC expects the project to be completed by late summer.
