Delta Stewardess Ejects Boro Park Chassid for Taking up Space
by Mindy Cohn
As last night's Delta flight from Ft. Lauderdale to LaGuardia was readying for takeoff, a stewardess decided that a Chassidish passenger was utilizing too much of the overhead storage compartment where he had stored his carry-on bag and hatbox along with the hat and suit jacket he had worn onto the plane.
The flight attendant was captured on video insisting the passenger needed to check in his bag. When she forced the issue by pulling his bag down, he requested she return it, at which point she gave him an ultimatum that either his bag gets checked in or he deplanes.
The passenger subsequently exited the plane with all of his items, leaving him to find another flight to get him home to Boro Park after what many perceive as an act of discrimination by the airline's representatives.
