Dozens of New Reasons to Ride the Subway
by BoroPark24 Staff
Twenty-four restrooms in twelve subway stations across the five boroughs will reopen in May, including one at Boro Park's 36th Street Station.
According to the MTA, which reached out with the news to BoroPark24, the twenty-four new restrooms will add to the customer satisfaction of MTA riders.
The newly rebuilt and modernized restrooms boast new motion-activated faucets, new fixtures including hand dryers and soap dispensers, new/painted privacy panels, new lighting, new tile grouting, new door signs reflecting hours of operation, and fresh ceiling painting.
The restrooms will be open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a one-hour closure for cleaning from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The announcement follows on the heels of the opening of nine restrooms earlier this year while more subway restrooms are being rehabilitated as well.
