Empire Wind Project Back On After Trump Reversal

As a shock to very few, the Trump administration has done a 180 on yet another one of their decisions. 

After shutting down the offshore Empire Wind project in Sunset Park last month due to concerns that it didn’t receive a thorough review under Biden, the current administration has now removed the stop order and is allowing the project to continue. 

This comes after Mayor Adams met with Trump to urge him to allow the project to continue, as he believes it will create jobs and provide power to several thousand NYC homes.
