Flames and Explosions at Recycling Plant Near Boro Park

Emergency crews responded to a fire at a recycling plant on 32nd Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues around 10:45 p.m. last night.

The scene quickly turned intense, with loud explosions and heavy flames continuing for at least an hour, prompting a huge emergency response. 

Police closed off the entire area as the blasts kept coming. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Firefighters remained on scene into the night to fully bring the fire under control.
