Former Deputy Mayor to Lead Green-Wood Cemetery

Meera Joshi, who once served as the city’s Deputy Mayor for Operations, is now taking on a new role as president of Green-Wood Cemetery.

She stepped down from City Hall earlier this year, due to concerns over Mayor Eric Adams’ cooperation with former President Trump, which were later dropped.

Joshi has a long background in city operations and transportation. She called it an honor to lead Green-Wood, describing the cemetery as a peaceful and special place for New Yorkers.
