Former commissioner of New York City’s Buildings Department Erich Ulrich resigned from his short-lived post last November as he was being investigated by the Manhattan DA for bribery.
The New York Times reported that charges may be announced as early as this week.
The investigation by the district attorney looked at whether Ulrich received an apartment at below-market rental rates by someone who had business before the DOB.
Ulrich has retained attorney Samuel M. Braverman who says he has yet to see the charges, and until that time, “anything anyone says is just a guess, and probably without merit, so I will wait for the indictment.”
