Boro Park residents will have an opportunity to safely dispose of old documents and personal records at a free community shredding event hosted by NYC Councilman Simcha Felder this Wednesday, October 21.

The event will take place at the triangle at 47th Street and 19th Avenue, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with shredding services provided by the New York City Department of Sanitation.

Residents are encouraged to bring unwanted documents containing personal information, including financial statements, medical records, tax documents, old identification, bills, receipts, and legal documents.

The free event is aimed at helping residents protect themselves against identity theft by safely getting rid of sensitive paperwork they no longer need.
