Gridlock Alert: President Biden Will Visit New York Today Causing Increased Traffic Throughout Day

President Biden will visit New York today to attend three separate campaign events. 

Biden will depart from Washington for New York at 11:45 this morning and arrive at JFK at 12:40. The president will take a helicopter from JFK to arrive in downtown Manhattan at 1:10. 

He will then participate in three campaign receptions, one at 2:30 this afternoon, another at 4:30, and a final one at 5:45 this evening. 

Road closures and traffic delays are expected throughout the day. Barricades have been placed along West 72 Street and Broadway in the Upper West Side, as well as on 60th and 80th Streets, Fifth Avenue, and Riverside Drive. 

The president will depart from the Manhattan heliport for JFK at 7:30 this evening and will fly out of JFK at 8:00 p.m. He will arrive back at the White House by 9:5 this evening.
