Hachnosas Sefer Torah at Stavnitz Celebrated Along with Sheva Brachos for Ruv's Son

The Stavnitzer Ruv, Rav Baruch Avrohom Horowitz, founded his kehillah Darkei Chaim Stavnitz fifteen years ago. In this time, numerous families from throughout the area and beyond have become a vital part of this community, finding in it an authentic makom Torah utefillah, and a place of friendship and community for themselves and their families.
Last Monday, the kehillah celebrated the completion of a sefer Torah, written by the entire kehillah, and the joy was palpable in the entire neighborhood. "It was a typical Monday afternoon, and the entire kehillah stopped whatever they were doing to participate in this simcha, our simcha," said Reb Moshe Friedman who chaired the event.
Philanthropist Reb Chaim Greenfeld purchased the zechus of the sefer Torah in the memory of his mother, Hinde Ayala bas Shloime Zalman, a"h.
The event coincided with a sheva brachos for the son of Ruv shlit"a, and the gala seudas mitzvah at Ateres Golda doubled as a sheva brochos for the entire kehillah.
As Khal Darkei Chaim rejoiced together, it was a celebration of Torah and of future generations of Klal Yisroel building a Torah home on the foundations of the past.
