Home Depot Reopens Months After Partial Parking Lot Collapse

The Home Depot on 2nd Avenue, right outside Boro Park, has been closed since March after they experienced a partial collapse of their parking lot.

On March 20th a section of the top floor of their two-story parking lot suddenly collapsed and DOB inspectors issued an emergency vacate order for the entire parking lot. Home Depot was forced to close temporarily for the last few months while the parking lot was made safe again.

After months of cleanups, construction and inspections to ensure the safety of the parking lot, the store has now reopened.
