Icy Attitudes: Boro Park's Blythebourne Post Office Ignores Safety

By BoroPark24 Staff

It’s frustrating to see that the Blythebourne Post Office at 51st Street and 12th Avenue in Boro Park has completely neglected its responsibility to shovel snow and remove ice. The sidewalks surrounding the building, a crucial pathway for countless pedestrians, have become hazardous.

This level of disregard from a federal institution, which should set an example for the community, is unacceptable. Residents are being put at serious risk of slips, falls, and injuries, yet no action has been taken to address the issue.

Isn’t it reasonable to expect that the government upholds the same standards it enforces on others? Isn't the government supposed to be the leader in prioritizing safety and prevent harm?

It's been four days since the snowfall, and it's time for the Blythebourne Post Office to step up, clear the snow, and prioritize the safety of the very people it serves.
