Improvements Underway to Area Often Flooded
YS Gold
A while back, BoroPark24 published a "Readers Write" which complained that the city was not maintaining our streets, and gave an example of the block of 49th Street between 12th Avenue and New Utrecht Avenue, which gets flooding during every rain. With nowhere to drain, the water stays there for days following a rain.
This weekend, crews were seen digging up the asphalt in the area. It is presumed that when they repave the area, it will be graded to ensure the water drains properly.
It is unclear whether this issue came to the attention of the city authorities based on our Readers Write, but one reader and writer of BoroPark24 is sure to be satisfied about these developments.
