In Tribute: Mrs. Chava Yita Greenfeld, a”h

We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Yita Greenfeld, a longtime Boro Park resident who exhibited great mesirus nefesh for Torah. She was 92 years of age. 

The nifteres was the daughter of Reb Yechezkel Tzvi and Blima Braver, and she was the niece of the legendary Reb Shloime Braver, a right hand of the Satmar Rov. 

She married Reb Berel Greenfeld, an ardent Satmar chossid who was moser nefesh for the Satmar Talmud Torah in Boro Park, and in the Fleischman’s community. Mrs. Greenfeld stood at his right hand every step of the way, supporting him in his many klal endeavors. 

The nifteres was known for her ehrlichkeit and her emunah peshutah, and she leaves behind a beautiful Torah family. 

The Levaya took place on Thursday night in Boro Park and in Williamsburg, and she was laid to rest on the Kiryas Yoel Beis Hachaim.
