YS GOLD
On Monday, the Boro Park community lost a beacon of Torah and gemilus chessed with the passing of Reb Moshe Gedaliah Cohen, z"l, at around the age of 78.
The niftar was a longtime Boro Park resident and a brilliant Talmid Chochom who made the world a better place.
After sitting in kollel for a number of years, he became a math professor, but he always remained in the Beis Medrash. He loved Torah and he loved learning Torah. He was always learning with his children, many of whom emulate his ahavas haTorah.
Even in his last years, when he was unwell, and learning became more difficult, he would learn Mishnayos, but with the same intensity and mesirus nefesh that he always invested in learning.
He was makdim sholom l'chol adam. He would always be careful to greet people in shul or in the street, and always had a good word for everyone.
He leaves behind beautiful generations of talmidei chachomim and yirei Shomayim.
The levaya too place on Monday at the Stoliner shul, where R' Moshe Gedalia was accorded a kovod acharon by many who knew and admired him.
Yehi zichro baruch.
