Kiddush Hashem: What Goes Around Comes Around
By Idy Perl
There have been many negative stories lately involving car service drivers and delivery people in Boro Park, but one local resident reached out to BoroPark24 to share her inspiring experience with a Lyft driver.
This woman called a Lyft yesterday to take her home from Bingo, and when the car arrived, she stored her kids’ scooters in the trunk and sat into the car. During the drive home the Lyft driver mentioned that he also worked for Church Ave Car Service and shared that he always enjoys his Jewish passengers.
After arriving home, she realized that she had left the scooters in the back of the car. She wasn’t able to contact the driver and thought the scooters were gone forever.
Much to her surprise, her bell rang today and the Lyft driver was at the door with the scooters.
This Boro Park resident wants to publicly thank all the previous Yiddishe passengers of this driver. The collective kiddush Hashem that they’ve made obviously left a positive impact on the driver and undoubtedly helped her get the scooters back.
"We’d like to express our gratitude to Hany, the Lyft driver with the red Kia, for going above and beyond for his customers," she shared with BoroPark24.
"We always have the chance to leave a positive impact through our words and actions, creating a kiddush Hashem. You never know how it might help another member of the community in the future," she concluded.
