Maimonides Medical Center Updates its Visitation Policy

Maimonides Medical Center Updates its Visitation Policy

Consistent with the New York State Department of Health’s recommendations, and in order to maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff, Maimonides Medical Center has updated the visitation policy.

The changes to the visitation policy go into effect on Wednesday, December 29, 2021

Prior to entry, all visitors will be required to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination status, or proof of a negative Covid-19 test administered within 72 hours before their visit. Self-administered Covid-19 tests or positive antibody tests are not acceptable.

These guidelines do not apply to anyone in need of emergency care.

Visitation will also be limited to one visitor per bedside. Multiple visitors will be allowed per patient as long as they visit one at a time.

These guidelines were put in place to protect the safety of the patients of Maimonides Medical Center. We all got to do our part to help keep our community safe.
