Major Parking Restrictions Planned Along 18th Avenue for Upcoming Italian-American Celebration

Motorists in Bensonhurst are being advised to plan ahead later this month as parking restrictions will be in effect along a large stretch of 18th Avenue during the Festa Di Santa Rosalia, a popular Italian-American celebration that draws large crowds each year.

According to the NYPD’s 62nd Precinct, the event will run from August 19 through August 30, with no parking permitted on 18th Avenue from 65th Street to Bay Ridge Parkway throughout the festival.

Officials warned that vehicles left within the restricted area may be towed and encouraged drivers to make alternate parking arrangements in advance.

The extended closure covers a significant portion of 18th Avenue and is expected to bring heavier-than-usual traffic to the surrounding neighborhood as thousands of visitors attend the feast.

Drivers traveling through the area during the event are advised to allow extra travel time, expect delays, and consider alternate routes if possible.
