Man Arrested for Stealing a Car on 16th Ave and 50th St

Shomrim successfully chased down a perpetrator who stole a car this afternoon. 

At around 2:20 pm, a male sat into a vehicle parked on 50th St and 16th Ave and began to drive away.

Luckily the car keys were not in the vehicle and the car shut off after several houses, at which point the perp was forced to flee on foot.

Shomrim managed to capture the guy on New Utrecht and 55th St where NYPD arrested him.
