Man Stabbed During Bike Robbery Gone Bad

Boro Park – An attempted robbery went horribly wrong late Monday night.

A 50-year-old man was standing shortly before midnight in front of 930 McDonald with his e-bike, when a black man approached from behind and tried grabbing the bike. The victim fought back, whereupon the would-be thief took out a knife and stabbed him in the left abdomen before fleeing.

The victim was transported to Maimonides Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition.

Police are searching for the assailant, who was described as a black man in his mid-20's. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, winter hat, blue jeans and a dark-colored mask.
