Massive Fire at Zoom Convenience Store in Midst of Erev Pesach Rush

Zoom gas station is a destination for countless Boro Park residents for gas, and also food to fuel their journeys in and out of town. 

The staff was in the midst of serving dozens of customers at their popular sandwich stand this afternoon, when a loud explosion was heard as the electric blew, and soon the entire establishment was engulfed in flames. 

Given it’s proximity to the massive gasoline tanks outside, the fire triggered a massive response by FDNY, whose station is located around the corner. 

The fire also activated the automatic fire extinguishers, which covered cars, and people, in white powder. 

Firefighters have had to break the roof to allow smoke to escape, and the establishment will sadly need to be completely renovated.
