Mayor Adams Abruptly Turns Around En Route to Washington Where He Was Headed to Discuss Illegal Migrant Crisis

Mayor Eric Adams scuttled his plans at the last minute for arriving in Washington today to meet up for high-level meetings with four other mayors whose cities have also been adversely affected by the non-stop flood of illegal migrants pouring across the border and into their cities.

Adam's office canceled all of the meetings he was supposed to have with senior White House officials and Congress members, together with the mayors of Denver, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Houston, with the singleminded goal of requesting more support from Washington. Instead, he turned around while on the road to return to New York City for undisclosed reasons.

One point of assistance the mayor was expected to request from the federal government is expediting work authorizations for the illegals as an employed illegal is more likely to move from the emergency shelter, which presently is costing the city way too much.

"You can't come to this city and expect that as long as you want to stay here, you can stay here on taxpayer's dime forever, and that's what the 30 days and the 60 days is all about," Mayor Adams said in a press conference, ignoring the reality that that's exactly what the illegals have come to expect.

"I do not see the ending if the federal government does not take action,"  Adams concluded, according to ABC7NY.
