Missing 6-year-old Boy from Flatbush, Manpower Needed for Massive Search

Late this afternoon, a nightmare scenario occurred in the Flatbush community, when Yosef Shapiro, a 6-year-old boy from Flabush, enrolled in No’am Day Camp in Boro Park, did not make it home following a trip.

The camp had gone to a Canarsie park (located near Canarsie), but did not make it home from there. The buses have been searched closely, but he has not yet turned up.

A massive search is underway, led by Flatbush Shomrim, which has put out a missing-person’s report with Yosef’s precise description. They have urged the community to keep a lookout for Yosef.

Over 150 volunteers have already mobilized at the corner of Seaview Avenue and Paerdegat Avenue, the entrance to Canarsie Park. Anyone who is able to is asked to come out immediately to the area to assist with the search.

Please daven for Yosef Ben Batya to be returned soon to the loving arms of his family.
