Monticello Woman Arrested for Robbery and Assault of Woman Outside Bank

Monticello police officers made an arrest for the purse snatching and assault that took place in front of T.D. Bank on Broadway in Monticello last week on Monday, July 31, as reported by BoroPark24 here.
Jessica J. Myers, age 32, of Monticello, was arrested on Monday, August 7, and charged with the felony of attempted robbery in the 2nd degree and misdemeanor assault in the 3rd degree.
A frum man driving past interceded to stop the robbery and helped describe the mugger to Monticello Police.
Myers was arraigned in the Town of Thompson Justice Court before Justice Richard Baum. She was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $500 cash bail, $1000.00 Bail Bond, or $1500.00 Secured Insurance Bond pending further court action.
Myer's victim was released from the hospital and is recovering from the traumatic incident at home.
