MTA Reveals New Electric Buses
By Idy Perl
The MTA revealed today 60 new electric buses to join the city’s bus fleet.
The new buses will operate on routes in Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island. In addition, the MTA and the New York Power Authority are collaborating to install 17 new charging points at the Grand Avenue Bus Depot in Queens.
As we previously reported here and here, this is all in an effort to cut the city’s carbon emissions and support the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act.
