Munkatcher Rebbe will Spend Historic Shabbos in Williamsburg

Munkatcher Rebbe will Spend Historic Shabbos in Williamsburg

By: Boropark24 Staff

Hundreds of chassidim—from Williamsburg, Boro Park, and beyond—are set to spend an uplifted Shabbos in the glow of the Munkatcher Rebbe who will spend the days of Rosh Chodesh Kislev into next week within the Williamsburg community.

The Rebbe has not spent a Shabbos there for a number of years, and this visit is looked upon with great anticipation among chassidim and among the greater Williamsburg community.

While the Munkatcher Beis Medrash in Williamsburg is located on Hooper Street, the tefillos and the tischen throughout the Shabbos will take place at the Eden Palace Halls to accommodate the large crowd who will seek to be in the presence of the Rebbe.

The Rebbe will spend Shabbos at the home of Reb Moshe Yechezkia Weiss on Bedford Avenue, a short distance from the hall, while he will spend Sunday and Monday at the home of Reb Avrohom Yonah Liphshitz, both pillars of the Munkatcher community in Williamsburg.

In addition to the many events that the Rebbe will conduct throughout these days, there will be kabbolas kohol on Sunday and Monday evenings.

Following this, the Rebbe will depart Williamsburg, as we enter the week of Vayeitzei in which we learn about the presence of a tzaddik and its holy impact on a city.
