A new 13-story residential development is being planned for the corner of 60th Street and 9th Avenue, with newly revealed renderings showing a mixed-use building that will include 150 apartments, ground-floor retail and a parking garage.
The project, being developed by Montperia Group, is a standard mixed-use residential development. Of the 150 apartments, between 35 and 42 are expected to be designated as affordable housing for households earning 60 to 80 percent of the area median income.
The building will feature a red and earth-toned brick exterior, with a series of setbacks on the sixth and ninth floors. The ground floor will have large windows for retail space, with the main entrance located along 60th Street. A 50-vehicle parking garage is also planned.
Montperia Group purchased the property in 2016 for more than $9.7 million and has since submitted a rezoning application to allow the development.
