New Recipe: STEW STONE
A great comfort food for a cold day! Put it up in the morning hours and come home nourishing your soul.
Ingredients:
· 2lbs minute steak or any meat cut made
for
low and slow cooking.
·
1 large white
onion, cubed
·
2 tbsp oil
·
4 cloves
garlic, crushed
·
1 leek, cubed
·
oil, to sauté
·
3 stalks
celery, cubed
·
3 red potato,
unpeeled and cubed
·
1 sweet potato, peeled and cubed
·
4 carrots, cubed
·
1 squash,
cubed
·
8oz tomato
sauce
·
½ cup white
wine
·
salt and
pepper, to taste
·
parsley
flakes, to garnish (optional)
In a large pan, heat the 2 tbsp oil and sauté
the white onion for 10 minutes.
Add the garlic, and leek and sauté for another
10 to 15 minutes.
In the same pan, add some more oil and then
brown the meat on all sides.
Add the remaining ingredients besides of the parsley
flakes.
Cook over low to medium heat for a few hours.
Can also be cooked in a crockpot.
Plate; garnish with some parsley flakes and
enjoy!
