New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli Visits Boro Park

Brooklyn, NY—In honor of the upcoming New Year, New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli visited Boro Park. The visit took place on Tuesday, August 31. It included a meeting at the Boro Park Jewish Community Council where the Comptroller met with BPJCC leadership, including BPJCC’s President Isaac Stern and members of the organization's Executive Board.

During the visit, a discussion was held on important issues of the day concerning Boro Park, including the rise in antisemitism, government procurement for non-profits, food insecurity, and more.

The Comptroller shared new year greetings with the Jewish Community in Boro Park, including blessings for a happy new year filled with health, happiness, and good fortune.

Before taking his leave, the Comptroller made a point of stopping off at the Help-Haiti-Here relief truck located at the BPJCC. The drop-off location is accepting donations to help Haitians through October 1. The Comptroller encouraged participation in the critical supply drive.

"The open-hearted dialogue that took place during the meeting with the Comptroller," says Isaac Stern, BPJCC’s President, "was very appreciated by all of us. Our discussions were of utmost importance to our community."
