No Remote Option: Public Schools Will be All In-Person in the Fall
Mayor Bill de Blasio announced this morning that New York City’s public schools will reopen completely, with no remote option when schools restart on September 13.
Currently, more than 60% of the city’s public school students continue to learn full-time from home.
“It’s good news,” the mayor said on the “Morning Joe” television show this morning. “One million kids will be back in their classrooms in September: all in person, no remote.
“That is the news, I think, parents, kids, everyone, has been waiting for, to know that we are going to be back strong, ready, safe.
“COVID is plummeting.”
