By BoroPark24 Staff
In an effort to keep New Yorkers informed and prepared, the New York City Department of Transportation DOT) Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez announced today the launch of a notification campaign ahead of anticipated closures on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE) in Brooklyn.
The closures, necessary for essential repair and replacement work, are scheduled to commence in mid-April, with full closures expected between the Atlantic Avenue entrance ramp and the Manhattan Bridge exit ramp in the Queens-bound direction. These closures are slated to take place from Saturday, April 13 at 2 a.m. until Monday, April 15 at 4 a.m.
The new notification campaign aims to provide detailed information to local neighborhoods and communities about the closures and associated detours. The initiative is designed to ensure that residents and commuters are well-informed and can plan accordingly to minimize disruption.
No word has been given yet to the public on how the notification campaign will be implemented.
