NYC’s Health Department Computer System Down, Funeral Homes Unable to Make Levayas

   Funeral homes and chapels have not been able to make levayas since 8pm Monday night, when New York City’s Heath Department’s web site that processes death certificates went down.

   One source told BoroPark24 that he can’t remember the web site being down for so long. 

   The city’s Health Department, which did not give a reason for its system being down, issues burial permits that are signed by physicians and nurses. Without burial permits, people who have passed away cannot be picked up from hospitals.
