NYPD Officials Visit Chavivim Headquarters to See New Vehicle, Discuss Upcoming Inspection Event

Deputy Chief Richie Taylor, 66th Precinct Commanding Officer Captain Kenneth Herrarte, and community affairs officers visited Chavivim headquarters this week to check out the organization’s brand new Hummer EV.
The vehicle, which was recently added to Chavivim’s fleet, brings a range of practical benefits to the group’s operations. It includes an onboard EV charger, extra trunk and frunk space, heavy-duty towing capabilities, and 16 inches of clearance—making it useful for flood recovery. It can also function as a massive generator when needed. The EV design helps cut costs, and strengthens Chavivim’s emergency response abilities.
During the visit, NYPD officials also met with Chavivim leadership to coordinate plans for the organizations annual drive-through vehicle inspection, which is scheduled for Sunday, June 15.
