NYPD, Working with Shomrim, Apprehends Suspect Sought for Stealing Multiple License Plates

Boro Parkers can breathe a sigh of relief after Shomrim and the NYPD apprehended a suspect that was being sought for stealing multiple license plates over recent weeks.

The suspect walked down local streets and appeared to randomly remove license plates from vehicles and then flee the scene.

After being notified of the incident, Shomrim volunteers poured over hours of camera footage in an effort to identify and catch the suspect.

On Sunday afternoon, Shomrim volunteers caught the suspect in action, on 15th Avenue and 40th Street. The NYPD quickly responded, including the 66th Precinct’s Commanding Officer, and placed the suspect under arrest.
