Ocean Parkway Residents Demand Police Response To Midnight Drag Racing Drivers

Residents in the Midwood neighborhood near Ocean Parkway are demanding that local law enforcement get involved after rowdy drivers have been using the road to drag race in the middle of the night for the last few months. 

As per News12, neighbors report that their sleep has been interrupted by revving engines, bangs, and screeching tires throughout the night. Some have been experiencing headaches from the noise and lack of sleep and have resorted to using noise cancelling headphones or even installing sound-deafening windows. 

Although police have been called to deal with the drivers, so far, they’ve always arrived too late and haven’t been able to catch them. Neighbors are asking for an increased police presence and patrols on both sides of Ocean Parkway so that the issue is dealt with and they can get some much-needed sleep.
