Pair of Teens Armed With Machete and Mock Gun Threaten Store Owner During Attempted Moped Theft

Two armed teens were arrested by NYPD, with the assistance of Shomrim, after the pair threatened the owner of the 13th Avenue retail outlet, who tried to stop them from stealing a moped from in front of his store.

The arrest took place this evening on 13th Avenue and 54th Street at around 6:15 p.m. after Shomrim apprehended the pair. The NYPD arrived minutes later. The suspects were found to be in possession of a machete, an imitation gun, and a pocket knife.

No injuries were reported.
