Pile of Garbage Lit Up in Flames by Fireworks

At around 1:30 an early Wednesday morning a vehicle passed 53rd street and one of its occupants threw out a firework.

The firework exploded near a pile of garbage that was placed at the curbside for pickup and the pile lit up in flames instantly.

FDNY responded immediately and extinguished the flames resulting in no damage or injuries.
