Prospect Park Opens First Official Trail System

Prospect Park has reached an important milestone with the opening of its first official trail system. The new trails provide visitors with easy access to explore the park’s natural beauty while helping to protect its delicate ecosystems.

Adding to this achievement, the Old-Growth Forest Network, the only national organization focused on preserving native old-growth forests in the United States, has named Prospect Park Brooklyn’s official Old Growth Forest. 

This honor celebrates the park’s unique natural environment and its significance as a green sanctuary in the heart of the city.
