Ribbon Cutting Celebration for BPJCC’s New Community Center

Ribbon Cutting Celebration for BPJCC’s New Community Center

The Boro Park Jewish Community Council (BPJCC) celebrated the grand opening of its new Community Center on 13th Avenue and 51st Street this past Sunday, September 7.

A packed house of dignitaries, elected officials, and community leaders joined the ribbon-cutting event, lending their voices and presence to this milestone event.

The expansive new location was made possible by a generous donation from Metropolitan Commercial Bank. The bank’s president & CEO, Mark Difasio, was honored at the event along with NYPD Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, US Congressman Dan Goldman, NYS Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli, and NYS Assemblyman Kalman Yeger, all recognized for their outstanding contributions.

BPJCC’s main office on 13th Avenue and 46th Street will continue operating as usual. At the same time, the new location will add vital space to BPJCC for expanded free programs, including workforce training, community gatherings, senior center, support groups, parenting workshops, business guidance, and more.
