Satmar Beis Medrash on 10th Avenue Begins Extensive Renovation

By: Boropark24 staff

Khal Yetev Lev-Satmar, on the corner of 10th Avenue and Fortu-fifth street, is possibly one of the first Satmar Shuls in Boro Park.

It has served the residents of the Tenth Avenue area faithfully for decades and has become worn with use.

The roshei hakehillah have undertaken an extensive renovation of the entire shul, and an extension which will hold a “heichal haTorah,” exclusively for Torah learning around the clock.

“The shul will remain open throughout the construction for Torah and tefillah,” says the longtime Shamas, R’ Shloime Masri, “and we will be utilizing the vacated space of the yeshiva upstairs during the summer months.”

The kehillah hopes to have made significant progress on this project in time for the yomim nora’im.
