Shiur Scene: Inside Boro Park’s Global Makom Torah - Irgun Shiurei Torah
By BoroPark24 Staff
This week, we’re turning to a place that needs almost no introduction: the famed Irgun Shiurei Torah, a place that has hosted more in-person shiurim by rabbanim than anywhere else in the world.
What began as a mission inspired by the founder’s rebbe to turn his shul into a true makom Torah grew into something far larger. Today, Irgun Shiurei Torah, housed in the Stolin shul on 16th Avenue, stands as a global name of Torah learning, drawing listeners from every corner.
Day after day, rabbanim and renowned geonim step up to that same simple microphone and deliver Torah to a crowd of devoted listeners, both in the room and around the world through the virtual audience.
A look through the gallery reminds us of many rabbanim who are no longer with us, yet their Torah live on here. Countless halachic debates, shiurim, and far-reaching Torah conversations began at this very shtender and spread far beyond Boro Park.
Boro Park carries a special honor in having such a treasure right in our midst.
Look out for next week’s Shiur Scene feature! If you have a shiur you’d like us to capture and highlight, email us at info@boropark24.com.
