Skver Rebbe’s Son to Visit Boro Park for Uplifting Week
By Y.M. Lowy
Hundreds of Skver Chassidim in Boro Park are preparing for a major upcoming visit by Harav Aharon Mendel Twersky, the eldest son of the Skver Rebbe, who is expected to spend a full week locally.
It has been roughly fifteen years since the Skver Kehilla spent Shabbos with the Rebbe in Boro Park. In the years since, the local Skver kehilla has grown significantly.
He is scheduled to arrive next week on Tuesday, Parshas Emor. Plans for his stay include visits to local mosdos, including the cheder, kollel, yeshiva ketana, and Bais Tziporah girls’ school.
A special seudah is planned for Friday night, Pesach Sheini. During the week, he will be hosted by Reb Moshe Diamond, and for Shabbos by Reb Yosef Schmidt.
The highlight of the visit will be a large “Shabbos Hakhel,” expected to bring together Skver chassidim from across Boro Park. Tefillos and seudos will be held in rented halls to accommodate the crowd.
