Slabodka Rosh Yeshiva Will Spend Shabbos in Boro Park; Shiur in Lakewood Minyan
By BoroPark24 Staff
Having gotten out of Eretz Yisroel on one of the last flights before the skies were closed, the Slabodka Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsch, has been traversing the United States in support of the olam haTorah in Eretz Yisroel which is under attack and suffering from severe government cuts.
The Rosh Yeshiva will spend this Shabbos in Boro Park, and will deliver a shiur in Lakewood Minyan on Shabbos afternoon following minchah at 6:30. Rav Hirsch is one of the closest, and last remaining talmidim of Rav Aharon Kotler, the Rosh Yeshiva of Lakewood, making this location especially meaningful.
It is interesting to note that the Slabodka Rosh Yeshiva has a long history with Boro Park dating back to his childhood when he grew up in Boro Park. Having emerged from Boro Park as one of the great leaders of our generation, he returns here to deliver chizuk to our community amid trying times for Klal Yisroel.
