Speed Camera on Fort Hamilton Parkway Moved a Block Over

A speed camera that was stationed for years on Fort Hamilton Parkway and 40th Street is now located on the other side of the road, and placed a block over. 

Drivers in the area should be aware that the camera that was stationed between 40th and 41st Street is now located between 41st and 42nd Street. 

BoroPark24 reached out to the DOT to hear more about this move, and mainly why they did it, but they couldn't share any information, saying "NYC DOT does not disclose the location of speed cameras so as to not jeopardize the efficacy of the program. All speed camera locations are based on the state law which requires that they be within 1/4 mile of a school and placed based on crash and speeding history."
